Fordingbridge

Of the 60kms of river from Salisbury to Christchurch, canoeists are permitted to paddle just 400 metres located at Fordingbridge Recreation Ground.

There are some 150 young people who belong to the local Scout groups who enjoy learning to kayak and canoe on this short stretch of river.

Sadly they need to travel well outside the region to find a river that they are allowed to paddle for any distance

This is not so,
The full length of the Hampshire Avon Navigation has a full right of navigation. It is up to you to make use of it and record it.
